How do I apply?
Students are admitted to WCA on the basis of previous school performance, personal references, personal interviews, and results of given achievement or placement tests when deemed necessary. All new students will be placed on academic and behavioral probation for the first year. Teacher and administrative evaluation will determine final acceptance. A request for admittance may be denied if a student or the family would not fit into the spirit of WCA, an opening is not available, or the applicant would not benefit from the education offered. The criteria or reasons for denial may not always be defined.
As a Christ-centered Christian day school, Wake Christian establishes and maintains standards of student dress, conduct and scholarship. Students who choose not to comply on or off campus with the school's policies and standards outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook will receive appropriate consequences. For certain offenses students may be suspended or expelled.
Wake Christian desires to reinforce the values already placed in the applicant's heart from the training received in the home and in the church. It is incorrect to assume the school alone can accomplish the building of godly character. The school also should not be expected to accomplish the reforming of inappropriate behaviors alone.
Students desiring to transfer to WCA due to disciplinary action at their former school will be held accountable for the same disciplinary action at WCA. If a student has been dismissed or expelled from another school, the student must wait one year from the time of dismissal before applying to WCA. The student will then be considered based on the outlined criteria in the admissions policy.
In keeping with the spirit of the school married students may not be enrolled at WCA.
