Congratulations to Beth Eakes ('77) in the adoption of a daughter from the Ukraine. (posted 7/23/08)

Congratulations to Brittany (Waggoner, '99) Hochstaetter,  who completed her Master's degree in communication at Regent University May '08 . She will be teaching communications courses through Johnston Community College's Huskins program in the fall of 08. (posted 6/16/08) 

Congratualations to David Therit ('97) who just recently accepted a job with Capital Bank in Raleigh as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. (posted 6/09/08)

Congratulations to Rob Fish ('96) who graduated this spring with his Doctor's degree from the Brody School of Medicine from East Carolina University. Rob received his BS degree in Zoology from North Carolina State and then his Masters in Cell Biology from ECU. He will begin a Radiology Residency Program at the University of Florida in Gainsville after he completes a residency in surgery. (posted 5/23/08)

Congratulations to Ryan Swanson ('00) who graduated May 12, 2008 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Campbell University School of Pharmacy.  He will be completing a one-year executive residency in association management with the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP).  Beyond that, he hopes to pursue a career in administration with either a pharmacy association or a school of pharmacy. (5/23/08)

Congratulations to Georgia McLean ('95) who received her Master of Education degree from Campbell University in December '07. Georgia also received he BS degree from Campbell in 2000. (posted 5/22/08) 

Congratulations to  Matt McLeod ('99) who this past season led the Faith Academy  varsity boy's basketball team in Victoria, TX. to the Regional Finals and was named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Outstanding Coach of the Year. (posted 5/22/08)

Congratulations to Heather Broughton, who on April 23, 2008 was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the oldest and most prestigious of all honor societies recognizing the top 7.5% of college juniors. Heather is at Elon University majoring in Human Services. (posted  5/22/08) 

Congratulations to Sammy Bryan ('02) and Jessica Sloyer on their March 1 wedding. (posted 5/22/08)

Congratulations to the WCA Baseball, Softball and girls Soccer teams for winning State Championships. Wake also won both Boys Soccer and Girls Basketball State championships this year.  (posted 5/14/08)

Congratulations to Susan (Crane, '90) Nader, who recently accepted the position of Chair of the Dental Assisting Department at Miller Motte College in Wilmington. (posted 04/22/08)

Congratulations to Lydia Renee Greene ('05),  who was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society in Social Work at Campbell University on Monday, Feb. 25th, 2008.  Lydia is a Junior at Campbell University and continues to be on the Dean's List.  Her major is Social Work and she will be doing her internship next August at "Interact" in Raleigh.  Lydia will be traveling to Europe this summer to work with her sister in missions. Birth Announcements

Congratulations to Georgia McLean ('95) and her husband, David, on the birth of their son, David Alexander McLean IV, born Wednesday, June 11, 2008.  He weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces, and was 18 1/2 inches long. (posted 6/18/08)

Congratulations to David Therit ('97) and his wife, Blair, on the birth of their first child, a son, David Benjamin Therit ("Benjamin"), born on May 12, 2008.  He weighed 8lbs., 3oz. and was 21.5 inches long. (posted 6/09/08)

Congratulations to Matt McLeod ('99) and his wife, Emily, on the birth of a baby girl, Olivia Mae McLeod, who was born on Feb. 23, 2008, was 18.5 inches, and weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. (posted 5/14/08)

Congratulations to Ken Sibley ('95) and his wife, Lenora, on the birth of a baby girl, Grayson (Gracie) Lois Sibley, who was born January 16, 2008. Gracie was 7lbs. 14oz. and 21 in. long.  (posted 4/11/08)

Congratulations to David Smith-Tilley ('96) and his wife, Meganon the birth of a baby boy, Chace David Smith-Tilley, who was born March 25th at 1:32pm weighing 8lbs. 3oz. and 19 inches long. (posted 4/09/08)

Open Letter in Memory of Edward Steven Walters

Open letter from Roy ('79) and Suzan Tripp ('80) on God's calling to Belize as missionaries. The twins, Benjamin and Sydney, graduated from Wake in May '07. See letter on Alumni Ministries Page. 

Class Ring Found: A small men's or women's class ring, yellow gold 10k with initials SBG inside was found at Lake Swan Christian Camp.  The ring has 1975 on it with the school name, and a bulldog on the side.  If you can identify this ring, contact me.

Wake Christian Academy: Class of 1998 - 10 year Reunion  The class of '98 is having an impromptu class reunion, May 24th 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Lake Benson.  People need to bring blankets, chairs, etc and food for themselves and whoever comes with them. Wake Christian Academy: Class of 1977 - 30 Year Reunion   The class of '77 held their reunion October 12, Homecoming night, in the WCA high school auditorium. It was a night of fellowship, BBQ and the WCA Homecoming Football Game. 

Wake Christian Academy: Class of 1992 – 15 Year Reunion The class of 1992 had its 15 year reunion Saturday, September 8, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lake Wheeler. Justin Talton, class president, spear-headed the reunion. Classmates, families and WCA staff had a great time of fellowship.
