• General Annoucements:    
• I hope that each one of you will enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and rejoice in God's goodness!!
• Check the bottom of the page for the Bowling permission slip and send it in with the money this week.  
• Clorax type wipes are needed to keep the germs at bay!!!                   
• Monday and Tuesday are the last days for Nov. AR. Grades will be given.
• The play practice schedule is at the bottom of the page. Post a copy on the fridge.
• Christmas Craft Day is coming in one week. Have the supplies ready and save your receipts, so I can reimburse you from the Super Saturday account that I have.

         DATES TO PUT ON YOUR CALENDAR:

• Dec.17th- 2nd grade play and bowling. You may leave after the bowling and go out for lunch.
• May 1st- ZOO DAY!! Families will meet us there and we will get your student in free. We would love for everyone to go on this special day!! So make plans to be with us on this day. Go ahead and talk with your boss!!

HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEK OF: November 24-25

Monday-

•  Study for Phonics test over Chart 11 and word list. Here is a study guide to help you.
• Know the special sounds from Chart 11 ie "ought" in thought. They will write "ought"
• The children will use "g" or "dge" to make a new word. ie. hu__e, we___, ba___, erms, a__e, do__, ener_y,
• They will put the words under the correct heading. I will call the words out to them and they will have them on their paper too. Headings are:   "ea" in leaf         "ea" in steak      "ea" in thread
• The words are meadow, greatly, measles, beach, peanut, eastern, ready, break, feather, yea, bread, greater
• They will circle special sounds and mark vowels in three words.
