General Announcements

To the Parents and students:

Veteran's Day/Month - Will be attaching memo I received earlier in the week concerning Veteran Honoring Projects. It asks for me to find a parent interested in heading up a project listed in the memo to honor our veterans this month. If anyone is interested in doing that, please send an email (or a note by your student) and I will give you more contact information for me so that we can discuss this.

For the week of November 17, 2008

• Mon:  Module 1, Lesson 5 - Continue Textbook reading; show examples of 5 1/4" floppy disks, 3 1/2" diskettes, Flash drives, etc.
• Tue:  Lesson 3, Workbook. Begin working on it and get as far as you can; will finish tomorrow or Thursday. Be studying vocabulary online (links are below for flashcards). There is also a typed list in Word attached to the bottom of this page if you prefer to download and/or print.
• Wed:  Finsish Lesson 3 in Workbook; practice with Mavis if you finish early.
• Thur:  Begin Review Questions for Lesson 3 in the workbook.
• Fri:  Vocabulary Quiz, Part 1. (Part 2 will be on Monday). Catch-up day.

• Tue: Chapel (Awards Day-1st period and part of second did not meet for class) All other periods used day as make-up day.

• Th: Catch-up day for all.
• Fri: Check Lesson 2 Questions and print for study guide.

• Tue: Computer games (for winning Spirit Stick last week) GO 7TH GRADE!! 
• Wed: Type up "Random Act of Kindness" papers; make-up Vocab. Quizzes and Lesson 1 Test
• Th:  TW 22D; finish any Random Act of Kindness papers not already turned in; read Unit 1, Lesson 2 handout (do not remove from classroom).  If you do not finish the reading, you may open the Adobe file below and read tonight or over the weekend. The file is in Adobe format.
• Fri: Finish reading Lesson 2 and discuss; begin working on Study Questions.

For the week of October 13, 2008

• Mon: (Comfy Day) Vocabulary Quiz, Part 1; Chapter questions checked; continue reading Lesson 1. 
• Tue: (Rainbow Day) Vocabulary Quiz, Part 1; Print chapter questions to use as study guide (Test Friday); Finish studying Lesson 1.
• Wed: (Career Day) Vocabulary Quiz, Part 2.
• Th:  (WCA Wear Day) Spirit Day - everyone on football field and gym for the day
• Fri:  Test on Module 1, Lesson 1.

For the week of October 6, 2008

• Mon: Notified of vocabulary lists being handed out tomorrow. Quizes will be this Friday and next Monday. Begin Lesson 1 of "Computer Literacy Basics".
• Tue: Continue Lesson 1.
• Wed: Walk for Wake
• Th: Continue Lesson 1; Vocabulary lists given out. Quiz, Part 1 on Monday, Part 2 on Tuesday.
• Fri: Continue Lesson 1.
