FOR THE WEEK OF November 24th and 25th 

General announcements:   

               If you would like to email me my email is kelliesmith@wakechristianacademy.com.  Please feel free to email me or write a note if you ever have any concerns or just need to inform me of something.  There is no question, thought or concern too small to be voiced. I count it a joy and privilege to be able to work with your children and serve here at Wake Christian.

Important Information: 

          *Note, we are having our Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 25th at regular scheduled lunch time.  However, our Feast will be a special time in our classroom. 

           *On December 18th we will be having a Christmas Celebration with a kid friendly brunch.

         *Reminder:  Your children may say their verse to Mrs. Shelby any Wednesday morning during class time.  This months verse will be Proverbs 3:1.

         *We will be collecting Joy Toys from December 1st-4th.

        * High Touch High Tech Science November 21st.   

        *Craft Day December 5th.  Mark your calendars now. Time 8:45.

       *All lunch forms, Jernigans and Chick Fil A are on the Wake Christian website.  Ice Cream is now on the form.  

•  We will be having Reading for homework everyday except Wed. and Friday. Your child should be able to read their passages with some familiarity as we are doing this same work within the classroom. 

• Homework Spelling Sentences.  We will do half of the sentences Monday and the other half Tuesday.  Even if they are not written in the planner each day please understand that this is a given assignment we will be doing throughout the entire year.  Thursday will be our day to write our words again one time each for homework.

•  Please go over papers that go home in the folders.  This is a great opportunity to have your child "teach" you and tell you what has been going on in the classroom.  It will promote good conversation and will let them become confident when they see their many accomplishments.  Also, mistakes are tools to be used for learning....we always think of these as positive things to keep our skills sharpened.

• Please remember to be studying for the measurements test.  We will have it some day during the first week of December.  Remember November's measurements will be tested the first week of December due to grace. 

• We always have spelling tests on Friday unless there is a special event that would hinder this.
