Course Description –
The course will be a short survey of major worldviews and religions. In addition we will study the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as He is presented in the Gospel of John. The purpose of this course is to provide Christian High School students with the tools and resources to defend the Christian faith.

Class Rules and Regulations Students are expected to abide by the following:
- Be in their seats and quiet at the bell
- Be attentive and take notes
- Speak only with permission or during discussion times
- Treat others and property with respect
- Be reverent in reading, studying, and discussing God’s Word
Christian/Volunteer Service
Each HS student is to volunteer at a school, church,or in the community, etc. at least 3 hours per quarter. The student must fill out a form and get his supervisor to sign it.
Any student volunteering a total of 20 hours or more during the school year and previous summer will receive a Christian service award at the end of the year.
The following activities qualify as volunteer work:
- Volunteering at a nursing home, rescue mission, thrift store, etc.
- Helping in the nursery at church
- Going on mission trips
- Assisting on a school clean-up day
- Tutoring (after school) Note: the teacher of the subject should be informed of time and day.
- Passing out tracts
- Participating in youth group outreach activities
- Working in Vacation Bible School
- Helping in Awanas
- Assisting in Special Olympics
The following do not qualify for volunteer work:
- Receiving compensation of any kind for work done
- Serving Saturday detentions or detention after school
- Babysitting for family members
- Participating in self-improvement workshops
- Performing service during school hours
- Participating in rehearsal or practice times after school hours
