Wow, did we pack not only 1 box for Operation Shoebox but we packed 2 boot boxes! Thank you all for your generosity to spread the love of Jesus!

Remember lunch is provided Thursday for the students after Colonial Day. Thank you to the parents for coordinating and sending in the meal! 

Please turn in the entire Jernigan Lunch Slip - we are no longer cutting out the individual days 

Important Dates for November and December:

November 20th- Colonial Day /Thanksgiving Lunch for Students - If interested in helping at Colonial Day,call Angela Johnson. Robin Vick will be contacting families to send in food for the lunch. Check attachments after 11/5/08 for clothing ideas.

November 21st- Turn in cookies for the soldiers being deployed- Information from Conni Tucker will come home in Monday Folders.

December 5th- Gingerbread Houses ( in the afternoon) Information will be coming soon

December 9th- Christmas Craft Workshop (in the morning)

December 19th- Birthday Party for Jesus  

A.R. due dates for November- 1st date is 11/10: the 2nd date is 11/20- sorry I left this one off the calendar

Each child needs to bring in a tall Pringle's can with the lid by the first week in January. :)

Joy Toys- We will also be collecting toys later this month for CEF - Mr. Bob will distribute these toys as he shares Jesus with needy families through the Good News Express. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the real reason for the Christmas season with your children. Please allow your child the opportunity to earn extra money to purchase the toy. You will be amazed at the generosity of your children when the focus is taken off themselves and the true spirit of Christmas shines through.

Accelerated Reader Incentive for November- There are 2 AR quizzes required for November. If your student goes above and beyond and reads 1 extra book (and passes the quiz) they will receive a "Sit with a Friend" coupon to use at lunch. Happy reading!
