News for the week of November 17:

 Parents:  If you read this week's ClassNotes? , please send in a note saying you did and your child will receive 5 runts!

• Please remember to check your child's agenda each day.  I do not post the daily assignments in ClassNotes? .  The assignments for the week will always be recorded in the agendas on Monday morning. This allows the children to grow in the area of responsibility and use their agendas just as adults use calendars and datebooks.  By planning ahead, they learn to budget their time. Thank you for helping your child mature in this area.
• As always, if you have questions or concerns, please email me or leave a voicemail.  I will answer as soon as possible.  Keep praying for us daily!
• Math is becoming a challenge as we dive into fractions this quarter.  Please review your child's daily math paper to keep informed of new concepts.  Once again, if your child does not know his multiplication facts, he will be "lost" as we begin reducing fractions.  We do not have time in the classroom to drill facts.  That needs to be done at home.  Thanks for helping your child review at home.

 Upcoming tests and projects: 

• Wednesday, November 19:  Science test on unit 5
• November 26-28:  No school for Thanksgiving holiday
• Wednesday, December 3:  4th grade Christmas chapel program at 8:30 a.m. in primary cafeteria; we will then make our Christmas craft project following the program. 
• The Prep-a-Doodle Dandy song (about prepositions) is due Tuesday, December 9.  This will be a language test grade.
• The Biography Bottle project is due Tuesday, December 16. Complete information will be sent home in Tuesday's Take Home papers. Samples of previous years' bottle characters are on display in our classroom if you need a visual.
