NOVEMBER NEWS

General announcements:   

• There will be no school on November 14th.  Enjoy the extra time with your child.  The teachers will be taking CPR classes to keep our certification updated.
• On November 17th we will be going to sing at the nursing home.  We will sing at 1:00 so there will not be 1:30 pick up on that day. Children may be picked up at 2:30.   Dress your child in jeans and his/her Walk for Wake shirt on that day.
• I am thankful that we have had two moms volunteer to make our baby Jesus dolls.  God is good!
• Remember to send in your child's permission slip for our field trip to the nursing home on Monday.  For safety and legal reasons, no child will be able to ride the bus and go on the field trip without a completed permission slip. Thank you for helping us keep your child safe.  
• There will be no Chick-fil-a on Monday, November 17th,  because the children are out of school on Friday. You may still send Jernigan's lunch orders on Monday. You are doing a great job with our new lunch program.

Class News:

•  Look for a note entitled "Reading News" on Monday.   This is information about reading goals for our class.  The children are really excited about actually reading words and sentences.
• Sight Word:  the ( Sounds like thu, with a short u sound)   We have introduced our first sight word. 
• Progress Reports will go out on November 19th. 
• Our Thanksgiving Feast will be at 11:00 on Friday, November 21st.  You will not need to send your child a lunch on that day.
