Senior Spotlight: Claire Chandler, Class of 2026

My name is Claire Chandler. I came to Wake Christian in 9th grade after going to public school my whole life. It has been an amazing experience to be surrounded by a Christian community and see teachers and other students live out their faith.

Wake Christian has given me so many opportunities to be involved, and I have made countless memories and friends through extracurriculars. Being a part of the wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, and pit orchestra have given me chances to grow in my love for music. I have also been a part of the Varsity Softball and Track and Field teams. Beta Club, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the Hands and Feet Service Club have given me opportunities to serve my school and community. I am so happy to have been able to use my abilities to glorify God throughout high school.

I am planning to attend East Carolina University and major in Mathematics Education to become a high school math teacher.

I would tell upcoming students to do all that they can while in high school and make as many memories as possible. Be intentional about growing in faith and understanding and do not be afraid to live out your faith daily.
