I am Anderson Mercer, and I came to Wake Christian for my sophomore year. I grew up in Searcy, Arkansas until my dad got a job at Campbell University, and we decided to move here. I love to play and watch sports while building legos or playing piano in my free time.
I played on the varsity football team for two years, varsity track and field team for three years, and the varsity soccer team for a year. I was the main character in the senior play this year, and I made some of my favorite memories I’ve ever had through that. My favorite memory from Wake Christian events was definitely scoring the game winner in the Ravenscroft soccer game.
I plan to attend East Carolina University where I will be majoring in biology. I plan to do the pre-dental path and become a dentist or orthodontist with my own practice.
If you still have another year at Wake, I would say that you should sign up for everything you can. Don’t be scared to do things you have never done before. Doing all that you can will cause you to form new memories that will last a life time. Most importantly, don’t wait to get serious about your faith. Do everything you do out of faith, and you will never regret the year you will have.
