Here at Wake Christian Academy, we hope for the same things. As a private Christian school in Raleigh, NC, serving students from K-12, it’s our mission to partner with the home and church, to provide a Christ-centered education, and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Godliness
At Wake Christian Academy, it’s our goal to educate the whole child — not just their mind. We impart a deep understanding of God’s salvation, His calling, and the various spiritual disciplines that lead to a Christ-centered life. Students learn to:
- Discover their identity and find security in God (Philippians 2:2)
- Be a good steward of gifts and resources He’s given (Psalm 24:1-10)
- Demonstrate the Fruits of the Spirit
- Live a worldview that’s centered in the Holy Bible
How do we do this?
At every stage, we intentionally weave God’s Truth in all parts of learning — we help students understand that they’re image-bearers of Christ. We teach them to marvel at the beauty of His creation and to relate with people through the lens of His Word.
Bible classes, weekly chapel, Christian worldview academics, verse memorization, and prayer time are just some of the many ways we cultivate godliness in our students.
Citizenship
A part of preparing students for life is equipping them to become responsible leaders and members in their community and in our nation. We teach the values of citizenship, including:
- Submitting to and supporting lawful authorities (Romans 13:1)
- Fulfilling their personal financial and legal responsibilities (Romans 13:6-8)
- Respecting and valuing citizens who have sacrificed for the United States
How do we do this?
In different ways, big or small — students at WCA learn citizenship by singing the national anthem during events, pledging to the flag, writing letters to veterans, and celebrating National Military Appreciation Month. In addition, teachers guide students in understanding their role as diligent citizens of the United States, and not just in their personal lives.

Excellence
Wake Christian Academy strives for excellence in imparting academic knowledge to students. Through all levels in our private Christian school — kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school, our exceptional curriculum covers areas of growth, such as:
- Academics: Each child discovers their purpose in Christ by displaying academic excellence in subject areas and competencies in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking. (Luke 2:52)
- Fine Arts & Athletics: Students fulfill their passions in these areas of interest while collaborating with others.
- Technology: At WCA, every child learns to utilize technology to solve problems in a godly manner for the benefit of others (Philippians 4:8)
- Extra-curriculars: Every student is challenged to explore leadership, service, and ministry opportunities to grow in skill and character.
How do we do this?
Our school has gone through an accreditation process that holds us accountable for our academic standards. Our staff pursues continuing education to equip students with the best practices in their field. Additionally, many of our teachers and all department heads hold master’s and doctorate degrees.
This is evident, as well, in our programs for students, such as the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) testing for juniors, Honors & AP classes, the Academic Advising Office, as well as a multitude of clubs, events, and enriching extra-curriculars.

Integrity
Living by God’s truth wholeheartedly is woven into every part of our teaching philosophy. At WCA, we guide students to demonstrate integrity in all aspects, including:
- Life: Every child is encouraged to live a humble and genuine life that is consistent with the Word of God.
- Thoughts, Actions, & Speech: Students are taught to have thinking, behavior, and communication patterns that are aligned with biblical truths.
- Relationships & Work: At WCA, students show a desire to please God through interpersonal relationships and responsibilities inside and outside the classroom.
How do we do this?
Teachers use daily classroom situations to guide students to think and act Christlike. This spiritual mentorship exists, and our faculty and staff members set a daily example to our students by displaying integrity in different ways: apologizing when they’re wrong, standing up for the truth, and forgiving each other.
Servanthood
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we believe that we’re called to demonstrate our love for Him by giving to others. At Wake Christian Academy, we cultivate students to become servant-leaders in different avenues:
- Demonstrating an attitude of love and responsibility toward family
- Using one’s gifts to contribute to the church through ministry, giving, and volunteerism
- Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ by exhibiting compassion for others in the local and global community
How do we do this?
We teach children to deepen their hearts for service through mission work, volunteer events, such as food and toy drives, Operation Christmas Child, and student ambassador opportunities. In high school, students are required to complete Christian service hours in various ways, such as church ministry, local charities, or community outreach.
